Join the Parks Alliance and Public Works on Saturday July 22nd for a free, day long workshop on Street Parks. The Street Parks Program is a partnership
between Public Works, Parks Alliance, and the
residents of San Francisco, with the common
goal of creating community-managed spaces
on blighted or unused City property - most often owned
by Public Works. Learn more about the program here.
The workshop will cover fundraising, important elements to consider when developing your site plan and maintenance. In the afternoon we will tour established Street Park sites in San Francisco's District 11. Our tour will take us to Ridge Lane, Tara Street Park, Kenny Alley and Athens Avalon Greenspace & Stairway. This workshop is ideal for neighborhood groups just getting started in developing their Street Park. Morning snacks and lunch will be provided to attendees.
