August: Making Parks a Priority

This week, the Parks Alliance released a research brief, Still Seeking Green, which found that funding for San Francisco's parks has lagged over the past 15 years. Consistent underfunding has hurt the Recreation and Park Department's efforts to keep our parks clean, safe and well-maintained.

Take the survey!
Over the last month, Parks Alliance staff have also accompanied Supervisor Mark Farrell to community meetings around the City to discuss park funding and hear San Franciscans' priorities for their parks. We'd like to know what you think too! Please fill out our Park Priorities survey to let us know what park services are most important to you.

Supervisor Farrell has announced that he will be introducing legislation in the coming weeks to address park funding shortfalls. Stay tuned!
