Ceramics at Mission Arts Center

Randall Museum Friends

Mission Arts Center CeramicsThe new ceramics studio located in the Mission District at SF Rec and Park’s Mission Arts Center will be a valuable and highly used community resource. Many San Francisco residents have been unable to get into Ceramics classes because the classes fill up quickly, and there are long waiting lists. This new Ceramic studio will offer highly desired ceramics classes to the underserved Mission District residents as well adding to the number of people overall in San Francisco who can participate in these classes. We are specifically requesting an Action Grant to fund a pug mill for this new studio. The pug mill will save time, money and space. S. F. Recreation and Park and the Randall Museum Friends are both contributing to the ceramics studio as a whole. It would be wonderful if the Parks Alliance’s Action Grant program could support this last piece of vital equipment.
