Friends of the AMP Equipment Amenities

The funds from this grant would be used to further activation of the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater by providing critically needed equipment and storage facilities at the site. The items purchased with this grant will further the work of various groups and agencies to effectively use the facility. In 2016 the Rec & Park Dept and the Mayor's office reached out to Friends of the AMP to help identify needs and roadblocks in producing programming. Our group has been producing programming through family-friendly concerts such as our "Saturday in the Park" concert series. We have developed a informed sense of the equipment and supply needs for groups and organizations designed to rent the amphitheater.

If successful with this grant opportunity we would purchase badly needed on-site storage containers, hand trucks, convertible ladders, mobile signed displays, seat cushions, portable tables folding chairs various banners, coffee maker, cleaning items, bungee cords and other small equipment that would be generic in use and used by anyone who books the facility these items could be included in the rental agreement for the facility they could be stored in an on-site area with easy access.
